We believe a high-quality PE curriculum is pivotal to ensure that it inspires all children to gain a love for physical activity and sport, therefore this will create the desire to learn and progress within PE. At RFPS, we use the scheme Get Set 4 PE. This scheme covers all the National Curriculum objectives through a wide variety of sport activities. The scheme is inclusive of all learners and will ensure that there is appropriate challenge for all.

During their time at RFPS, we believe our pupils will acquire a progression of skills that are built upon each year, equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need for their future. By the time they leave primary education, our aim is that: all children have developed competence to excel in a wide range of physical activities, they can be physically active for a sustained period of time, they engage in a range of competitive sports and they know how to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. Through a positive PE experience and our whole school values, we will strive to nurture resilient and collaborative learners who endeavour to reach their potential in a variety of PE activities and competitions. Most importantly, promoting sportsmanship and respect within PE lessons, sporting activities and wider school competitions to therefore support all pupils in their physical education journey.
